Strategic objectives:

  • Develope of the North West - South corridor and new routes, including intermodal projects (container and semi-trailer freight)
  • Maintaining a steady growth in bulk freight volumes despite the volatile geopolitical situation and the possible arrival of new competitors
  • Increase operational efficiency and quality of service through digitalisation and the development of tailor-made solutions and products
  • Upgrading our rolling stock fleet with environmentally friendly electric locomotives

The operational objectives of LTG Cargo AB are set out in The Articles of Association of the Company:

  • To increase the Company's operational efficiency and competitiveness by making rail transport and related services more attractive to customers;
  • To ensure the efficiency of the Company's freight, rolling stock operation, maintenance and related services; 
  • To achieve socially responsible and sustainable growth in the value of the Company's business and long-term shareholder value. 

    In addition to the above-mentioned operational objectives, the interests of LTG Cargo AB also include the interests of the public limited company Lietuvos geležinkeliai and the group of companies managed by it.  

    The object of LTG Cargo AB's activity is the rail freight and related services, but the Company may also carry out other activities which do not conflict with the operational objectives.

    The strategy of LTG Cargo is based on the Lithuania's Ministry of Transporation expectations of AB Lithuanian Railways.
