The Green Kilometre Calculator is LTG Cargo's sustainability initiative to encourage customers to choose greener logistics or intermodal transport.
The biggest win of intermodal transport is the environmental benefits and the reduction of the negative environmental impact of heavy-duty vehicles by reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
LTG Cargo has developed the Green Kilometre Calculator in response to the demand from customers and partners to calculate the carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emission savings of intermodal rail freight. To reveal and measure our customers' contribution to environmental sustainability, we have developed a methodology that records GHG savings of intermodal freight.
