1. What are the steps required to book customs brokerage services?
In order to order customs brokerage services, regardless of the frequency of the service order, it is necessary to sign a Service Provision Agreement with LTG Cargo and to delegate LTG Cargo as your representative in the Common User Management Portal (BAP). 2. How do I book customs brokerage services?
Orders must be made by email to muitine@ltgcargo.lt at least 1 calendar day before the arrival of the transport at the border. The email should include the planned date of arrival or departure of the vehicle, the border station, the main documents and the service you want to book:
- import formalities,
- export formalities,
- transit formalities,
- another service related to customs procedures.
3. What are the main documents needed for customs clearance?
For customs clearance, the following is requred:
- the sale and purchase agreement, including annexes and prices;
- invoice for the goods;
- freight payment agreements with clear delivery terms(Incoterms);
- the transport document (CMR, SMGS, AWB or B/L);
- in the case of imports, a copy of the tax remittance to the Republic of Lithuiania Customs;
- certificate of origin or other supporting documents as required.
4. What are the rates for customs brokerage services?
The rates for customs brokerage services are published in Price list for ancillary services Section XVI "Customs Procedures".
5. How do I calculate the import duties on imported goods?
For EU customs duties, taxes and national taxes (VAT and excise duties), see Integrated Tariff of the Republic of Lithuania (LITAR). In order to calculate the import duties on imported goods, it is suggested to use the online module of the Tax Calculation and Verification System on the LITAR website, under "Calculators", "Tax Calculation Simulation". How to use this module is described in the "Help" section.
6. What benefits does an AEO certificate offer?
The AEO certificate (Authorised Economic Operator) is an international recognition granted by customs to companies that meet high security and reliability requirements in the international supply chain. The certificate certifies that the company's internal processes meet customs standards and are secure.
Benefits of the AEO certificate for the client:
- faster and simpler customs clearance: goods are less likely to be subjected to a physical or documentary check;
- priority: if a consignment is selected for inspection, it is inspected in order of priority;
- recognition: certification means safety and reliability.
