LTG Cargo Efficiency Report
Many businesses cite efficiency as their primary goal and objective. Why is efficiency so important? Because it’s not just about cutting costs; it’s a way to adapt and thrive in a highly dynamic and challenging environment. At LTG Cargo, we strive to ensure that our customers feel the benefits of our operational efficiency the most.
How have we fared, and what are our plans?
Continuous improvement and comprehensive problem-solving. We view our processes through the lens of continuous improvement, methodically solve problems, and can already estimate that this had a positive impact of 4.2 million euros last year.
Fuel savings. With fuel excise taxes rising every year, this is becoming not only a means of reducing greenhouse gas emissions but also a measure with a significant economic impact—we can transport more cargo while using less fuel. By implementing certain measures and improving locomotive efficiency, we managed to save approximately 700,000 liters, or about 3% of the total planned fuel consumption.
Customer experience. Rail transport is a reliable way to move cargo. However, we strive to make rail transport as simple as possible for our customers. We resolve 70% of customer inquiries during the first call, handle 97% of complex situations in less than a week, and have shortened the onboarding process for new customers to just one day.
What’s next? Continuous improvement and problem-solving have empowered our employees, so we will continue to analyze our processes to eliminate activities that do not add value and focus on making rail freight the first choice for businesses transporting their goods.
