1. What are the contracts for service offered by LTG Cargo?
The contracts for services offered by LTG Cargo include:
- Service Contract (PTS);
- Freight forwarding services;
- Intermodal services;
- Wagon, locomotive or locotractor rent;
- Wagon, traction rolling stock repair;
- Maintenance of rolling stock during transport;
- Freight forwarding services with service providers;
- Allocation of locomotives for farm work (Farm Work Contract).
2. What is a Service Contract (PTS)?
A Service Contract (PTS) includes:
- organisation of transports within the territory of the Republic of Lithuania (freight forwarders);
- customs brokerage services;
- organisation of transport and receipt and transfer of wagons;
- maintenance of rolling stock during transport;
- driving of wagons onto sidings;
- driving of wagons onto station tracks; · use of self-service system e.Krovinys;
- transport services;
- additional services.
3. How long is a signed Service Contract (PTS) valid for?
A Service Contract (PTS) is valid for 3 years. Contract annexes and/or agreements may be subject to an individual term of validity, which may not exceed the term of validity set out in the customer contract's special terms and conditions.
4. Where can I verify the validity of existing contracts with LTG Cargo?
The validity of contracts with LTG Cargo can be verified in the self-service system e.Krovinys, section Document Review / Contracts.
5. What does LTG Cargo contracts consist of?
Contracts of LTG Cargo, other than contracts for freight forwarding services with service providers and for locomotive or locotractor rent, consist of the general terms and conditions, the special terms and conditions and annexes of a contract, all of which set out the terms and conditions of the provision of services and the terms of payment for them.
6. Where can I find the general terms and conditions of LTG Cargo contracts?

7. How are contracts signed?
Contracts with LTG Cargo are signed electronically via an email link or by a handwritten signature.
8. Where can I find prices for LTG Cargo services?
The prices of services provided by LTG Cargo can be found here, under "Rates for cargo transportation and other additional services 2025" and " Rates for cargo transportation and other additional services 2024".
9. What are the possible payment terms for the services provided?
Contracts provide for advance payments, but other payment methods are also available, subject to individual agreement, such as:
- payment after services have been provided;
- possibility of an additional cash deposit.
The methods and terms of payment are specified in the special terms and conditions of a contract. In the case of contracts for the provision of freight forwarding services with service providers, or for the rent of locomotives or locotractors, the methods and terms of payment are defined in the contracts.
10. What if the details specified in a contract change?
In the event of change of the details provided in the special terms and conditions of a contract, the change must be notified to pagalba@ltgcargo.lt within 3 calendar days at the latest.
Sanctions
Sanctions
1. Regulations on sanctions of which countries and authorities does LTG Cargo comply with?
LTG Cargo operates in accordance with the regulations of the following countries and authorities:
- The United Nations Security Council, the European Union or its institutions:
- Council Regulation (EC) No 765/2006 of 18 May 2006 concerning restrictive measures against President Lukashenko and certain officials of Belarus (as amended and supplemented from time to time);
- Council Regulation (EU) No 269/2014 of 17 March 2014 concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine (as amended and supplemented from time to time);
- Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 of 31 July 2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia's actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine (as amended and supplemented from time to time);
- The Government of the United States of America, including the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC);
- HM Treasury and/or the authorities of these entities;
- Legislation, international treaties and agreements of the Republic of Lithuania:
- Resolution No 512 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania of 28 June 2023 on the application of national control measures pursuant to Article 9 of Regulation (EU) 2021/821 (as amended and supplemented from time to time).
2. Who is the unacceptable risk subject?
The unacceptable risk subject is:
- a company or person who cannot participate in the supply chain. The unacceptable risk subject has more than 50% of an ownership interest or shareholding. The directly sanctioned subjects are included and listed in the regulations that guide LTG Cargo in its operations (see Question 1).
- a company or person that is owned or otherwise controlled by another person, for example, through the appointment of directors, access to assets, etc. Such persons are implicitly sanctioned and cannot participate in the supply chain.
3. What is a sanctioned goods item?
This is an item for which the Combined Nomenclature (CN) code or the import, export or transit of that item to, from or through the selected country is subject to restrictions.
4. Where can I check whether a product is sanctioned?
It is possible to check whether a product is sanctioned:
- in the Integrated Tariff of the Republic of Lithuania (LITAR) database, by commodity code, allowing you to identify prohibited goods, find descriptions of restrictions on the movement of goods, and access links to the numbers and articles of the regulations;
- in the National List of Controlled Goods, as described in Resolution No 512 the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and any amendments thereto. Link: 396 On the Importation into the Republic of Lithuania of Prohibited Products of the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus... (lrs.lt).
5. What is a Legal Entity Questionnaire (LEQ)?
The Legal Entity Quesionnaire is an integral part of any contract with LTG Cargo. Due to the sanctions enforcement and control policy, LTG Cargo is obliged to collect information about the customer, the customer's activities and the partners involved in the activity, in order to carry out sanctions controls before starting cooperation and regularly update it and in order to support its client. The information provided by the customer is treated as confidential and protected under EU law for 2 years. The client must fill in the Legal Entity Questionnaire within two months from the date of receipt of our request to fill in the questionnaire.
6. Where can I fill out the Legal Entity Questionnaire (LEQ)?
The Legal Entity Questionnaire can be completed here.
7. Why do I need to fill in the legal entity questionnaire periodically?
The Legal Entity Questionnaire is a sanctioning and monitoring tool used to ascertain that a company is working with trustworthy partners and customers. LTG Cargo cannot enter into and/or renew contracts without filling in or updating the questionnaire.
8. In which cases will the transport of cargo and/or empty rolling stock of a company registered in Belarus be refused?
LTG Cargo will reject an application and/or consignment note for the transport of cargo and/or empty rolling stock of a company registered in Belarus if they meets the characteristics of an unacceptable risk subject (see Question 2).
Payments
Payments
1. How do I make a payment for services?
Payments for services provided by LTG Cargo can be made to one of the following LTG Cargo current bank accounts:
- Swedbank: LT457300010158354074, payee AB LTG Cargo;
- SEB bankas: LT337044060008281655, payee AB LTG Cargo.

If a signed service contract provides for prepayment, the amount payable must be calculated independently according to the contractual payment terms, the quantity of services to be provided and the rates.
2. What information should be includes in the purpose of payment?
- For prepayment of services where the invoice(s) has not been issued yet, the contract number must be indicated in the payment purpose.
- When making a payment based on an issued VAT invoice(s) or advance invoice(s), the VAT invoice number or advance invoice number must be indicated in the payment purpose.
3. How do I know the cash balance in my LTG Cargo account?
You can check the cash balance in your LTG Cargo account in the self-service system e.Krovinys, under "Statements/Operating Balance".
e.Krovinys shows the actual cash balance – this should be noted if the services are provided under a pre-paid contract. If the balance is insufficient for future transport, we will inform you of this by email.
4. How do I change the terms of payment for services?
If you wish to change your payment terms, please email pagalba@ltgcargo.lt or call +37052021515, specifying your contract number, preferred payment method and any additional information that would help us better understand your needs.
5. When is the invoice(s) sent?
Invoices are usually sent once a month, during the first 4 working days of the current month. For atypical contracts, the payment terms can be found in the signed contract.
If the delivery of a service extends over more than one month, or if the calendar month changes during the delivery of the service, the VAT invoice will be issued and sent only after the service has been delivered.
6. What should I do if I do not receive an invoice?
If you do not receive an invoice within the first 4 working days of the current month, you need to:
- check your spam folder;
- email pagalba@ltgcargo.lt to check that your company's email address is correct;
- contact pagalba@ltgcargo.lt to have the VAT invoice re-sent.
7. Where do I go to get an invoice in advance?
To get an invoice in advance, please email pagalba@ltgcargo.lt or call +37052021515, specifying your company name and code, contract number and amount. A pre-invoice will be sent by email within 1 working day
8. What if the invoice shows the wrong amount?
If the invoice shows an incorrect amount, please contact pagalba@ltgcargo.lt or +37052021515 for a revision and/or recalculation.
9. Can services be paid for from the personal account of the company manager?
To pay for services from the company manager's personal account, you must email pagalba@ltgcargo.lt, specifying:
- the name of the company;
- the company code;
- a power of attorney certifying that the person is the manager of the company or is authorised to act as manager on a temporary basis.
The company name and company code must be indicated in the payment purpose.
10. What is a credit invoice and why is it shown with a plus sign?
Credit invoices are any invoices that amend previous VAT invoices. A VAT credit invoice can have either a plus or a minus sign.

11. How can I recover an overpayment?
If LTG Cargo has overpaid money after providing services, the overpayment can be used or recovered.
- If you have another valid contract(s) with LTG Cargo, the overpayment can be used for future payments by submitting a free-form request to transfer the amount of the overpayment to another valid contract.
If you have no other contracts in force, you can recover your overpayment by submitting an overpayment request to pagalba@ltgcargo.lt or by calling +37052021515. You must provide the company name and code, the contract number and the bank account number to which you want to receive the overpayment. The overpayment will be refunded within 5 working days of your request. If the bank account to which the refund is requested is not the same as the bank account specified in the contract, the request must be signed by the company's manager.
12. What if the bank has withheld payment?
If the money has been withheld by the bank from which the transfer was made, it is important that you send us a copy of the transfer to pagalba@ltgcargo.lt and inform us immediately by phone +37052021515, as non-payment of the service may result in suspension of the service.
To avoid such situations in the future, you can regularly check your cash balance in the self-service system e.Krovinys (see Question 3) and ensure that it contains sufficient funds.
13. Where to report late payment for services and how to postpone debt?
If there are significant delays in payment for services, please notify us by email at pagalba@ltgcargo.lt or by phone +37052021515.
We will consider your situation and offer you the best solution for debt relief.
14. What is a Reconciliation Statement and how do I get one?
A Reconciliation Statement is a reconciliation of debit and credit debts between the parties to a contract.
To obtain this statement, you need to email pagalba@ltgcargo.lt or call +37052021515, specifying the name and code of the company, and the date for which the Reconciliation Statement is to be issued. The statement is sent within 5 working days.
15. What documents are required for a reorganisation of a company when another company takes over the liabilities?
If a company is being or will be reorganised, the following must be submitted to info@ltgcargo.lt:
- information that the reorganisation has taken place or will take place (letters, resolutions, etc.);
- the date on which the reorganisation took place or will take place;
documents from the parties involved in the reorganisation.
Intermodal transport
Intermodal transport
1. What is intermodal transport?
Intermodal transport is the transport of goods - semi-trailers and containers - using more than one mode of transport, in the case of LTG Cargo - by rail and road.
2. Why choose intermodal transport services?
Intermodal rail transport is a way to develop important links between logistics centres without adding to road congestion and contributing to traffic safety. This helps reduce costs, improve transport efficiency and increase sustainability.
3. What goods can be transported intermodally?
Intermodal transport is open to all cargoes except those that are sanctioned (see FAQ "Sanctions"), as well as ADR Class 1 (explosives) and ADR Class 7 (radioactive materials).
4. What is the minimum number of containers/semi-trailers that can be transported?
One or more containers and/or semi-trailers can be carried.
5. What is the difference between an intermodal and a non-intermodal semi-trailer?
No additional equipment is needed to load the intermodal semi-trailer onto the wagon. Nikrasa 3.0 special platforms are used to load the non-intermodal semi-trailer.
6. What is the maximum permissible weight of a semi-trailer with load?
An intermodal semi-trailer and its load may not exceed 37 tonnes and a non-intermodal semi-trailer 33 tonnes.
7. Which routes are used for intermodal services?
LTG Cargo provides intermodal transport services on the following routes:
- Klaipėda (Draugystė)-Kaunas (KIT) and/or Vilnius (VIT)-Klaipėda (Draugystė);
- Kaunas-Duisburg-Kaunas.
8. What is the timetable for the train Kaunas-Duisburg-Kaunas?
The train departs regularly from Kaunas on days I, III and VI of the week and from Duisburg on days II, IV and VI of the week. There is no train on Sundays.

9. What is the transit time for goods on the Kaunas-Duisburg and Duisburg-Kaunas trains?
The transit time for cargo on the Kaunas-Duisburg and Duisburg-Kaunas trains is 3-4 calendar days.
10. How can I reserve a place for cargo on the Kaunas-Duisburg-Kaunas train?
After signing an intermodal contract with LTG Cargo, you can reserve a place on the train by logging into the Simply Deliver customer self-service system. You will be connected to the self-service system by LTG Cargo using the email address you provide.
11. What time do I need to have my container or semi-trailer delivered for same-day departures on the Kaunas-Duisburg and Duisburg-Kaunas routes?
In Kaunas, the container or semi-trailer must be delivered by 18:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays and by 16:00 on Saturdays.
In Duisburg, the container or semi-trailer must be delivered by 18:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and by 13:00 on Saturdays.
12. When can I pick up a semi-trailer or container arriving on the Kaunas-Duisburg-Kaunas route?
LTG Cargo informs its customers by email when their cargo has arrived. Upon receipt of the email, pick-up is available in Kaunas from 10am and in Duisburg from 11am local time.
13. What is the timetable for trains Klaipėda (Draugystė)-Kaunas (KIT) and/or Vilnius (VIT)-Klaipėda (Draugystė)?
- Klaipėda (Draugystė)-Vilnius (VIT) runs on Mondays and Thursdays, departure 22:00, arrival 10:00.
- Klaipėda (Draugystė)-Kaunas (KIT) takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays, departure 22:00, arrival 15:00.
- Vilnius (VIT)-Klaipėda (Draugystė) takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, departure 23:29, arrival 8:35.
- Kaunas (KIT)-Klaipėda (Draugystė) takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, departure 23:00, arrival 8:35.
14. What time must the cargo be delivered to Kaunas or Vilnius intermodal terminals and Klaipėda (Draugystė) station for same-day departure on the Klaipėda (Draugystė)-Kaunas and/or Vilnius-Klaipėda (Draugystė) routes?
Cargo must be delivered to the Kaunas or Vilnius intermodal terminals by 16:00.
15. Where can a switch be made from European (normal) gauge (1435 mm) to wide gauge (1520 mm)?
Cargo can be transferred from the European (normal) gauge (1435 mm) to the wide gauge (1520 mm) at the Šeštokai Intermodal Terminal and Kaunas Intermodal Terminal (KIT).
16. When and how should I book time for transhipment work at Kaunas Intermodal Terminal or Šeštokai Intermodal Terminal?
It is advisable to book as far in advance as possible - at least two weeks - for transhipment work at Kaunas Intermodal Terminal or Šeštokai Intermodal Terminal. When planning a train's arrival, you need to email intermodal@ltgcargo.lt with the formation and/or load information and the planned arrival date. We will assess the time and availability of the work required and either confirm the requested date or offer you the closest date convenient to you.
17. What are the opening hours of Kaunas Intermodal Terminal and Vilnius Intermodal Terminal?
Kaunas Intermodal Terminal operates Monday-Friday from 7am to 10pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 7pm.
Vilnius Intermodal Terminal is open Monday-Friday from 07:00 to 19:00, closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
18. How long can a trailer and/or container be stored free of charge at Kaunas Intermodal Terminal and Vilnius Intermodal Terminal?
At Kaunas and Vilnius intermodal terminals, a trailer and/or container can be stored for 2 calendar days free of charge. The service is subsequently taxed.
19. Is there a bonded warehouse at the Kaunas and Vilnius intermodal terminals?
Kaunas and Vilnius intermodal terminals have customs warehouses.
20. How many and what kind of containers can be stored in the customs area of Kaunas and Vilnius intermodal terminals?
The customs area of Kaunas Intermodal Terminal can accommodate 81 20-foot containers or 39 40-foot containers. Vilnius Intermodal Terminal can store 72 20-foot containers or 36 40-foot containers.
21. What cargo can be stored at Kaunas and Vilnius intermodal terminals?
Kaunas and Vilnius intermodal terminals can store all cargo except dangerous goods (ADR/RID) and waste.
22. For what reason can a wagon be unhitched?
A wagon can be unhitched for various reasons, such as the wagon or trailer not being in a safe condition. We inform customers of any changes by email.
